Richard Amato

 Mr. Amato has helped build Amato & Sheen into one of DeKalb County's largest and most prestigious law firms in the area.  Mr. Amato came to DeKalb as an Assistant State's Attorney for the DeKalb County State's Attorney Office. There, Mr. Amato sharpened his trial skills by conducting countless motions, hearings, bench trials, and jury trials. Since opening Amato & Sheen, the firm has focused on aggressive representation. The firm has grown and now appears in courts in DeKalb, Boone, Winnebago, Kendall, Ogle, LaSalle, and McHenry county on a daily basis. 

Prior to graduating Law School from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Amato worked as an Account Executive with AT&T and Lucent Technologies where he earned numerous awards and accolades for sales and client service. 

Mr. Amato was raised in Addison, Illinois where he developed a passion for athletics. Mr. Amato returned to Addison after graduating with a degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University, to coach 7 years of high school football and other athletics for Addison Trail High School. Mr. Amato still has a strong passion for sports and is a supporter of numerous local athletic teams and schools. 

Mr. Amato and his wife reside in DeKalb county.
